RFU Injured Players Foundation

RFU Injured Players Foundation

RFU (Rugby Football Union) Injured Players Foundation was formed in 2008 to look after over 130 players who had been catastrophically injured through the sport of rugby, as well as to play a valuable role in the prevention and management of injuries.

RFU has one key mission: “To provide support and information to those who sustain a catastrophic injury as a result participating in rugby union and to empower them to lead as full and independent life as they are able to.” Every year this charity grows with the help of its many staff/volunteers, club sponsors, company support as well as its Chairman of Trustees, John Owens, and Medical Director, Dr Mike England.
