Need a new PAYG phone? Sony has just launched its new Xperia E5.

While the phone doesn’t match the specs of Sony’s Xperia X and Z5, it does feature a 5-inch 720-pixel screen, a 13MP rear senor camera with auto-focus, HDR, a flash and a 3 times zoom (i.e. the longest focal length is three times the shortest). The front-facing camera is 5MP.

Xperia E5’s processor is a MediaTek MT6735, with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. (A film, for example, requires between 1.2 and 1.5GB of internal storage.)

MicroSD support – i.e. a removable flash memory card – up to 200GB is also featured.

The phone comes with the latest Android 6 Marshmallow software. It also comes with near field communication (NFC) and 4G connectivity, and up to two days’ battery life, thanks to the 2700mAh battery.
